ROBERT PLANT To Guest On DAN RATHER's 'The Big Interview'; New Preview Clip Available
March 8, 2018Robert Plant will be the featured guest on the season-six premiere of Dan Rather's AXS TV show, "The Big Interview", on March 13.
In the preview clip below, which was posted on Billboard, Plant discusses whether he considers music a profession, craft or art.
"I think craft is the term I would use," he offers. "You grow into what might initially be an infatuation with the idea of entering something very special, very daring… Being attracted to the footlights and the entertainment and the smell of a venue and the anticipation in a crowd, I loved that. I thought that was an amazing thing, you know. I've been a music fan and a fan of all things that are interesting and occasionally unique so I'm always a member of the audience and an entertainer really. So, yeah, it's a craft."
In "The Big Interview", legendary newsman Dan Rather sits down with some of the most celebrated figures from all across the entertainment spectrum. The upcoming season features 20 all-new episodes, divided into winter and fall cycles. Other guests include Robby Krieger and John Densmore, the surviving members of psychedelic powerhouse THE DOORS; chart-topping country songstress Shania Twain; and singer, songwriter and actor Billy Ray Cyrus.
Plant just wrapped his North American dates behind his latest album, "Carry Fire".
Coming on March 23 is a newly remastered reissue of the LED ZEPPELIN 2003 live collection "How The West Was Won". The set, which features new remastering supervised by guitarist Jimmy Page, marks the first offering from the band in celebration of its 50th anniversary this year.
"How The West Was Won" will be released in multiple formats including triple-CD, the first ever vinyl and Blu-ray Audio editions — with the Blu-ray containing hi-res 5.1 surround sound — and the LP version spread over four discs.
